Classes

Ready to dance? Choose the class that best fits your fitness level and exercise goals. 

All of Cathy's classes are in-person and streamed live via Zoom as a hybrid experience, with a video option available.

Unlike a Zumba® DVD or a Zumba Gold® DVD, these classes are dynamic, led by a warm and welcoming instructor ready to cheer you (yes YOU) on! Classes are great for both beginners and advanced students who have been doing Zumba for years. As with any new fitness routine or group exercise program, talk to your doctor before joining a class if you have been inactive, have any medical issues or take any medications, to make sure Zumba is right for you.

ZUMBA®

Perfect For

Everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it out.

How It Works

We take the "work" out of workout by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check!

ZUMBA GOLD®

​

Perfect For

Active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. Because it's low-impact, it can also be ideal for anyone at any age returning to dance fitness after an injury or illness. 

 

How It Works

The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong.

 

Benefits

Class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance.

SEATED EXERCISE

​

Perfect For

Those who prefer to exercise from a seated position in a chair or wheelchair. 

 

How It Works

Similar to Zumba Gold®, the teacher introduces moves set to fun music and focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Participants are encouraged to move with every song and to sing along and get lost in the music.

 

Benefits

Even while seated, participants have the opportunity to get their sweat on, and tone using their own body weight.

Get ready to rock your first class

5 Tips for Success!

1. Dress in comfy workout clothes, fill up that water bottle and grab a sweat towel. Joining us in person? Pack a separate pair of sneakers with clean soles for our professional dance studio space. 

 

2. Arrive or log on 10 minutes prior to the start time of your first class, giving yourself enough time to introduce yourself to the instructor and prep for class.


3. Watch the "cue" to know what to do!

4. Start with your feet, add your arms, and then add your own, unique flavor!  Singing along or adding a whoop-whoop is always encouraged. 

 

5. Listen to your body. At any point, feel free to march in place, sway back and forth to the music, or take a water break.
